1994 Dodge Ram oil pressure

i just redid the heads as soon as i got it going i drove about a mile and lost all oil pressure so i replaced the oil pump now i was getting good pressure and it is now getting very low to no pressure and when i check the dip stick it says i have hardley any oil in the pan the motor was kind of gunky as well

I would check the drain down holes
u said you had a lot of sludge in the motor
its not leaking or burning oil
you had started with the correct amount of oil
question is
where is the oil ?
I think its stuck on top and not returning to the oil pan
you may wants to check that
