A 1990-1991 Diesel has a external voltage regulator at center of dash panel-Since yours is a 1993 it has a computer controlled field generation of the alternator which is built in the computer you might want to have this checked out.

i know you will more than likely say take ut to dealer ship to have it checked out but have not had good luck with dealer ships here in tucson by chance could you seggest any body eles
