I am having trouble with a leak in my transmission. I recently bought a puralator p233 and it had two gaskets in it. I replaced the pan gasker which i thought would fix the problem .Yet i still have a leak. Does anyone know where the other gasket goes. If the gasket is not importnant what might be my problem. Thank you for your help

Chances are there are two different pan formats that require different gaskets. That is the only gasket you can replace. However, what type of material was the gasket made from. If it was rubber or cork, they aren't the best to work with and usually leak. Can you tell if the leak is coming from the pan now that you fixed it? Could it be coming from between the trans and engine? Have you checked the cooling lines? Also, check around the shifter linkage. There are O-Rings that can leak.

Let me know what you find.
