1990 Dodge Ram Turn Signal Lever On Steering Collumn

If pushing down harder on switch helps then I would suspect faulty multi-function (turn signal) switch.

Is it an easy fix?

I can post replacement procedures if you would like. What kind of truck is this exactly? Also is it a tilt steering column or standard steering column?

It's a standard. It is a 1990 Dodge Pickup W250.

REMOVAL:
Remove the steering wheel (procedures below).
Remove the turn signal lever retaining screw and remove the lever.
Disconnect the turn signal switch wiring at the lower connector.
Remove the wiring cover.
Remove the snapring from the upper end of the shaft.
Remove the screws retaining the turn signal switch and upper bearing.
Lift out the turn signal switch and wiring.



INSTALLATION:
Installation is the reverse of removal.






STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL:
Disconnect the battery ground cable.
If applicable, unscrew the horn pad from behind the steering wheel.
Working through the access holes in the back of the wheel, push the horn pad off. Do NOT pry the pad off.
Disconnect the horn wire.
Matchmark the steering wheel and shaft.
Remove the steering wheel retaining nut.
Using a puller, remove the steering wheel from the shaft. NEVER hammer the shaft to free the wheel.


STEERING WHEEL INSTALLATION:
Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the nut to 45 ft. lbs. (61 Nm).
