Hi
I have a dodge ram 50 2.0 single barrel
We just put in a new clutch kit and it wont go into gear at all
The clerk at Nappa told us to use 5 w 30 motor oil instead of gear oil and I am wondering if maybe it is to thin for shifting or I do need the gear oil
I can't afford another car as I am on disability which don't pay
any ideas as to what is wrong with it
I also switch it from a 5 spd to a 4 spd
The clutch coverwas not the same as the other coverwould that make a diffrence?

I wish I could pay for the info

Hi there,

Is the clutch throwing? when you press on the clutch pedal is the clutch fork moving, if so can you tell how far, if you put it in gear and start it with the clutch in, will it drive off?

HI there,
I don't quite understand what this means...the spline is shorter on one of the clutches ..... i would be concerned that the clutch presser plate is your main concern, if the fingers are not at the same height as the old clutch, you will not be getting the through required.
