Ive noticed that when i got home last night there was a faint squeaking coming from my engine, when i would rev it, it gets louder then goes quiet again. i checked the oil today and it was over a quart low so i topped it off and topped off my anti freeze. i tightened the vaccum hoses and when i started it, it was still squeaking so i turned it off, then back on and the squeaking went away.

the squeaking always stops when i re-start the engine for the 2nd time. but the last time i started it, it was difficult to start, so i dropped it off at home.

could it have gotten damaged from being a quart low and driving for a good hour in 90 degree weather or is it something else? thank you

Chances are the oil isn't the problem, but rather the belts. Here is a test. When you hear the noise, take a small amount of water and pour it on the belts one at a time to see if there is a change. WHen you hit the right one, it will most likely quiet down then start making noise again when the water dries.

Make sure to protect your eyes because the water will spin off the belts at you.
