1994 dodge van 6 cylinder

I have a 1994 dodge van 250 6 cylinder and i think that i am having trouble with either the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay. I was driving it home the other day and the van started to bog and the died on me. I pulled it over let it sit for about 5 minutes and then it started up I drove about 2 miles and it died agian I could not get it to start. I had it towed to my house and let it sit over night and it started in the morning ran about 5 minutes then bogged and died. I tried to find a fuel filter but can't find it. so now figuring it is the fuel pump or relay... Is there any way i can bypass fuel pump relay? any way to determine which is bad... before i go and buy the parts....
