i currently drive a 1998 dodge neon 141,000 miles 4cylander and i just took it to the mechanic shop to fix a leak in the cam valve and a hose busted in the transmission. now my car is have a really rough time shifting gears adn black smoke is coming out of the exhaust. the mechanic said the my trans fluid didnt smell burnt and said i could cross my fingers and hope that if i service my trans that it might fix it. i dont think that will fix it. i was wondering how much a remodeled trans or a new trans would cost with labor . can you help me??
