the transaxle control module has a fault

My check engine light came on so I went to the auto part shore to get the code read. The out come was that the transaxle control module has a fault. That shorted or open circuit within transaxle internal transmission fault. Now I looked for a Transmission control module for a 2005 neon SXT and can not find one is it just that the transmission is burning out or does it have one.
