i want to but a affter market muffler on my car can it bolt right up where the old one was or will i have to cut into the bumber?

depends on brand, some brands bolt right up, some need to have hangars welded on for them to go in stock position. Most aftermarket mufflers can be installed in a way as to not cut the rear bumper.
