2002 Dodge Neon making a whistling noise

I started hearing a whistling noise yesterday from my engine. the noise only occurrs when I excelerate and only sometimes. I am very nervous about the sound what could it be I need help please.

could be your intake boot slid off of your upper intake.... although it can be a few other things.... check your intake boot 1st, and let us know what you find.
