Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
My daughter just bought her first car about a week ago. When starting the car after it has set for a few days, It makes a noise somewhate loud noise that sounds like it might be the lifters. after the oil circulates the noise almost completly goes away except for a very slight sound that you can hear when you lift the hood. If this was a rod, what kind of distinction would I hear? If it is the lifters, is this a serious problem? The car has 112,000 miles on it.
