I just had my timing and power steering belts replaced on my neon. Now when I start the car it makes a high pitch squeal untill i hit the accelerator. I checked the belts and they appear fine, but I am not 100% sure at this point. Also my check engine light and battery light are now on. I had the battery tested and everything came back passing. I even took the negative terminal off for about an hour to cause the system to restart but it didnt fix it like i was hoping. Any ideas?

Suspect a loose serpentine belt. The spring-loaded tensioner can become tight which prevents it from putting the proper tension on the belt. A worn tensioner pivot will cause it to be slightly out-of-alignment. Any pulley that is out of alignment will cause the belt to slide across it as it goes around it, hence, the squeal.
