timing belt should be replaced with the pump
look to spend 375 to 450 $
about 3 shop hrs + coolant + t belt + w/pump

hey there,
did the water pump on my 95 neon and its a little bit of work, not to metion you have to have a gear puller 3 arm type. the two arm type is junk.
if your confident in your ability, go for it. but you will also have to change the timing belt wich is a little tricky. payed about 78.00 for my pump but if you get a garage to do it, 300.00 - 400.00 dollars
im just a shade tree too and it wasnt that bad.
ha ha of course there was a few choice swear words in the job too. ha ha good luck
