1998 Dodge Neon no reverse and hard to get into 5th gear

I have new bushings on the shifter cable(put on a while back and looks good) , and a new (put on yesterday) a vehicle speed sensor.

I suddenly can't shift into reverse and 5th gear is hard to get into. What can be the problem?
