Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 98' neon with the 2.0 dohc in it. The problem I'm having is that when I start it the engine makes a ticking or slight knocking sound until it warms up. I'm not experiencing any power loss or decreasesd acceleration. Power and acceleratoin are comparable to a new car. Can anyone tell me why my car is doing this and how to remedy the problem... I have a family and can't afford to be without my car so would like to remedy a problem before it becomes major.
