car has a real rough idle and sometimes makes hard chugging motions when at a complete stop has died a couple of times but starts right up....did a tune up and replaced egr valve the problem seemed to get better but is now back....(also the cat converter is partially plugged and the engine seems to be putting off a lot of excess heat and the coolant level hasnt changed in the container in a while)meaning its not getting coolant....the fans do come on but the car seems very hot near the engine compartment....any advice.... if it could be multiple problems...list the possible solutions in order of most likely to work.....thank you
