Car will not shift out of park - what could be the problem?

There is an interlock shift cable that sounds like has gone bad or out of adjustment here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when working on the shift interlock system.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find.

I have a similar problem with my 2005 v6 dodge magnum I had to replace the cable it just seized up and would not move. Thanks for the guides I love this site.
