my car engine has a high pitch whistle at 60 and at 40 miles per hour. Yesterday the engine light came on and the engine started to rev really high. I slowed down and was going about 40 down the high way but the car sounded like a sewing machine engine reving really high. Engine temperature was OK, checked the oil and the transmission fluid they were ok.
