I have read your advise you gave on the above linked website and I still have the P0301 DTC.
With a current probe and oscilloscope I measured the current through each ignition coil. (Stripped the sleeve back an inch at coil connector)
With the engine cold I get a sawtooth shaped current wave form of 14amp p-p and 15msec. on all coils.
After a few minutes warm up the peak suddenly reduces to 5amp 5msec except for #1 which goes to 3amp 5msec.
Engine does not run smooth but is drive-able.
Can anyone verify that current reduction is normal before I go and spend a couple of C-notes on a re-manufactured PCM?
