leaking oil from the top of the engine?

its leaking oil from the top of the motor onto the catalytic converter. what's causing it to leak? every time i drive it it leaks and when it drops the catalytic converter is burning it off making a nasty burning smell.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have a valve cover gasket leak.
It is quite common with this engines.

In order to replace the valve cover gaskets you will have to remove the upper intake manifold first before you can remove the valve covers to replace the gasket.
