I need to replace to the Mode Door Actuator on my HVAC system. Currently, the system is stuck on heat and at the highest temperature, no matter what setting on the control unit is selected. When the AC was selected the actuator did not function. Where is this part located after I remove the dash?

Here is a guide on what you are in for when changing the actuator. https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-blend-door-motor There are diagrams below showing you what it will be like on your car: 1.Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable remote terminal, located on right strut tower. Remove left and right underpanel silencer/ducts and floor console. Remove center floor heat adapter duct and rear seat heat forward adapter duct. Loosen center support bracket and pry rearward to access actuator. 2.Locate mode door actuator on lower left side of A/C-heater assembly. See Fig. . Remove actuator screws and pull actuator straight down. Note shaft key position for installation. Disconnect actuator connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing actuator, shaft must be reinstalled in original position.

Some possible causes of high temperature output at center panel when A/C system pressure is normal include:

Excessive oil charge in refrigerant.
Temperature control cable improperly installed or faulty.
Blend-air door inoperative, obstructed or sealing improperly.
Blend door actuator not calibrated.
