Welcome to the forum. Does your owners manual give you any removal info? My info just says to remove the fasteners, didn't see a picture. Is that a black plastic wing-nut in the picture? Can't tell if that needs to come out? Did try gently pushing on the threaded studs a little, any slack?

here is what the owners manual says,
1. open trunk and remove fasteners securing the light housing to the body.
2. pull the light housing from the body to expose the wiring
3. turn bulb socket counterclockwise to remove from the housing. pull the bulb from socket.
4. replace bulb and reinstall the socket and reattach the light housing.

So i pulled back the carpet in the trunk adn removed the plastic bits but then i get to these weird screws and i cant tell if i have to remove them somehow or just pull. but i want to pull it and break it.

So far, I haven't found an exploded view of your tail lamp assembly. I just can't tell by your picture? I also looked up the tail lamp assembly in a parts-book, thinking if I got a look at the backside of the lamp assembly part, I could tell something, so far no luck. Sorry, I wasn't more help.
