1999 Dodge Intrepid cat converter bank two code

my check engine light is on says bank 2 cat. Once in a while right after start will idle rough and try to die. today it was running so rough after start and it did die it was hard to keep running but would start, sounded like it wanted to backfire, if i took foot off gas would die. finaly giving it light gas for awhile got it running went to store got another diag check still said cat he said somthing about cat bank two. well my problem is that he accidently erased the code, I want to fix this but which is bank two? plus i'm worried i had a malibu that did this soon before i was told that my cam was flat in it. is this somthing that would happen from not replacing the cat or will things like that cause a cat code to fire even thoe that is not the problem. i just dont want to put toomuch into it next i need to move on to the suspension.

I guess you're are talking about one those codes:

P0052....HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 2 Sensor 1) in front of the catalytic converter
P0056....HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 2 Sensor 2) behind the catalytic converter
The camshaft problem on the dodge is different
You may be talking about this: P0022....'A' Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)
What you need to do is to rescan and come back with the codes because guessing won’t help solve the problem. I will help you when you get back with the code(s)

ok ill drive it till the cel light comes back on like i said he erased the code at the auto zone. when it comes back ill get the exact code

car had to sit a week due to no bushing on inner tierod, got it going agin it came back on the code is po432 catalyst efficiency low bank 2. It usualy runs smooth other than the one time it sounded like it wanted to bakfire and would die if not pressing the gas but eventualy started running fine and the one time it idoled irraticly and tryed to die upon stART UP it was warm from driving prior. I do not hear any major vaccum leaks nor does it use alot of oil, and I do not notice any smoke nor does it misfire (unless thats what it did when it sounded like it wanted to backfire. ) but to me what it did seemed like it could be contributed to a clogged cat or a random misfire. If you do blelieve it to be the cat, which cat would it be? I do not know if my engine sits forward or sideways but i do know the serpintine run accross the front behind my radiator and the cats come directly off the engine at left of and right of engine. I cannnot think of anything else that may be relivent so let me know if you need any more info

Hello saralaisblueeyes As vehicles accumulate mileage, the catalytic converter deteriorates. The deterioration results in a less efficient catalyst. To monitor catalytic converter deterioration, the fuel injection system uses two heated oxygen sensors: One sensor upstream of the catalytic converter, one downstream of the converter. The PCM compares the reading from the sensors to calculate the catalytic converter oxygen storage capacity and converter efficiency. Also, the PCM uses the upstream heated oxygen sensor input when adjusting injector pulse width. Basically the code p0432 means that the oxygen sensor Downstream of the catalytic converter on bank 2 is detecting that the converter is not working as efficiently as it should be'. The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly. An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly There is an exhaust Leak ,air leaks in at the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipes Front O2 older (aged) than the rear O2 (O2 is lazy) Bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that has the #1 cylinder. Bank 2 is the opposite side of the engine and that is where the problem might be.
