where is the water pump on a 1998 dodge intrepid????

Hi:
The waterpump is behind the timing belt cover. It is driven by the timing belt.

To get a picture of it's location, find the "Popular Site Links" on this page and select "Drive Belt Routing Diagrams." You will see the waterpump at the bottom of the page.
