Transmission problem
1998 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Automatic 49000 miles

I got this 1998 intrepid with only 49000 miles, it was crashed in the front driver side. I replaced the power stering pully and new belt. I then checked for any leaks, saw none so i put the car together and took it for a test drive, it drove well except that the RPM had to go 3.5 for me to go 45 mph? I hooked it up to a code reader and it gave me 2 codes P0700 and P1768 then i spoke to a friend and he said that it has something to do with the transmission not going to the a higher gear. Can you please help me.
