1998 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my alt. is putting out but,when everything is shutoff,why do i have spark when i pull the + cable and then put it back and it drains the batt. so i put a new batt. and see thankyou, teddy

There will always be a slight draw and small spark. However, I want you to try a draw check. Here is a how to.

If there is an excessive draw, remove one fuse at a time to determine what circuit is causing the draw.
