1995 Dodge Intrepid Turn Signals won't work

Tail Lights, Turn signals, and hazards all did not work. Replaced bulbs and now have tail lights, but turn signals do not work nor do the hazard lights. Was driving and tried the turn signals came on, but when tried the hazard lights to see if they were working, they went out again. Taking the car to mechanic on Monday but would like to have heads up on what could be the cause or to find out if it is something I can repair myself. Thanks
