1992 dodge has way too fast idle affecting shifting.

i have a dodge dynasty,,1992,,303,,v6. 105,000 miles, it idles at about 1000 rpm at all times. start up, engine cold or hot. the check engine light comes on and stays on all the time. I replaced the throttle position sensor, but it didn't correct the problem, can you suggest all the areas that may be the culprit? thanks.
