i have an indencion in my bell housing i was told by a mechanic that it's purpose is if the tranny overflow's? if i just bottomed out and need to fix the hole let me know

Hi there,

Best to get a mechanic to inspect under the car as with bottoming out you can do other damage, i think this is just the drain for the bell housing, this will need to be re opened if it has closed up.
