2006 Dodge Durango oil viscosity

my owners manual recomends 5w-30w. after using this oil for 32000 miles i changed to 10w-40w because the engine just sound noisy. almost tinny. the oil is just so thin. is it ok to use 10w-40w?

HI there,

The 10W-40 should be fine, just check the oil temp specs in your owners hand book that the oil will meet the ambient temp of where you live.
