2002 Dodge Durango Ticking Noise

the oil pump screen is partially clogged.... when it sits overnight, all the oil that is on your camshafts/rockerarms drips down into the pan.... common on the 4.7 the screen gets clogged from not having your oil changed at every 3,000 miles.... the more sludge buildup, the louder the tick.... easy fix if your willing to devote a day to it in the driveway.... the front differential needs to be removed in order to access the oil pan... if this is something you cannot do, bring it to a garage... hope this helps.
