my 2002 5.9 dodge ram has electrical problems... first off the security light stays on all the time, the dashboard cluster has no sign of life, the interior lights don't work, the wipers don't work, the doorlocks don't work and the weirdest thing of all the headlights go on as soon as i supply power to the battery connectors and I don't even have daytime running lights. The engine runs fine, the windows open and close, the overhead cluster works and the radio and heater fan work as well...everything else is dead.
why is that?

I will assume you checked all of the fuses. My first guess would be the body control module (BCM). I would recommend having that checked.
