The head lights and some other electrical components stop working. The motor will still run, emergency flashers still work. If I pull of the battery cable it seems to reset and all will work again for a while. I have been told that it is some kind of module that needs to be reprogramed. Is this true? Any idea of cost for that?

Hello,

It sounds like you have an issue with the central timer module.
That module controls the head lights as well as other exterior and interior light.
It is located behind the left side kick panel (see diagram below).
The module likely have a faulty circuit that will reset when you disconnect the battery but will fault out again after warming up.

I have attached the testing and replacement procedure for the central time module.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
