Which computer? Engine, Body, Transmission, Anti-lock Brakes, Air Bag, Instrument Cluster, Remote Keyless Entry, HVAC?

What kind of repair did you do and why do you want to reset a computer? They learn information as you drive and update themselves accordingly. If you disconnect the battery, all memory will be erased in the engine and transmission computers. It may not run well for the first few miles while the engine computer relearns short-term fuel trims, and the transmission might shift harsh or sluggish until it relearns how much fluid it takes to apply the clutches, (if your transmission is computer-controlled).

Speed-sensitive door lock settings are usually maintained in the body computer when the battery is disconnected, and on many vehicles, diagnostic fault codes can not be erased in the ABS computer without a scanner. Fault codes in the engine computer will erase automatically after 50 ignition key cycles if the problem it detected doesn't come back.
