I have a 1998 dodge durango with a 5.2 liter v8. i had radiator problems coming from a split hose. My dad and i replaced the hose and drained the water from the radiator, dad replaced the drain plug to the radiator, and we added the anti-freeze and checked all the lines for leaks. After an hour or 2 we noticed a green puddle forming under the front of the durango. The radiator is still leaking, we hope it is just the sillcock drain that is faulty, but is there anywhere else the radiator could be leaking from the bottom?

Thank you

Are you sure it is the radiator and not the water pump? Check under the waterpump. You will see a small round hole (weep hole). When the bearing or seal goes bad in the water pump, it will leak from there. Many times it will get on the lower radiator hose and run toward the radiator making one think that radiator or hose is leaking. Check that. If you are sure it is the radiator, chances are it will leak when the system is hot and pressurized. Check it then.

Let me kow what you find.

We did fix it later last night. turns out it was the Radiator drain sillcock that had a busted o-ring inside the rad.

Got new silcock drainplug and all is well.

That is good. At least it was an easy fix.

Take care and let us know if you have questions in the future.
