stumbling hesitation check engine

hope you can help...i have a 96 dodge dakota 3.9 auto 4x4 ext cab with 285,000 km on it :shock: . I believe it is multi port fuel injection, a few months back the vehicle started stumbling and the check engine light came on, i replaced the fuel pump and all was well for a while. In the last few weeks it has started doing the same thing and the check engine light came on once more. Before it would only stumble and cough when it had been warmed up, shut off for 15 minutes to a half hour, then restarted, all this with no check engine light. It began stumbling badly and the light came on after driving on the freeway, warmed up completely, when i pulled off the freeway and began stop and go driving again this happened. i dont run the truck under a quarter tank of gas. I am wondering if i am looking at another fuel pump (500$ ouch!!! ) or possibly.......? any help is greatly appreciated

Codes from the computer, get those to us. A friend might have an OBDII scanner that works on your truck. Does not have to be a specials scanner, the same scanner works on any vehicle from 96 on forward and they are very inexpensibe. Find them around for $30. Get us a code.

i've had the truck to a couple of shops now, check engine codes were for missfires on all cyclinders, nothing else, getting fluctuating readings on the crank and cam sensors, occassional number way out of line with the majority of numbers read from both sensors. changed both of these sensors and still no improvment
