I have a 99 dodge dakota 3.9L 2X4 manual trans that had squirel damage on the driver's side quarter panel. They ate through the harness that contains my driver's side headlight . fog light and only GOD knows what else. I now have this p1492 code. Any suggestions on how to repair it or do I have to replace the whole harness?[img:2a096aa7c7]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/81805_100_0447_1.jpg[/img:2a096aa7c7]

Hello,
The P1492 code is Battery temp ambient air temp sensor cht high. Great pictures. I think you’re going to need to attempt to fix broken wires or replace the harness. The code is most likely there because the wires are broken.
Good luck
