Check the fuel pressure, also test the ASD relay this one powers the pump

I recently replaced the fuel pump assembly and things were fine until horrible road conditions. Truck refused to start, no fuel pressure.

Anyway, the spout on the rollover valve had broken off in the pressure tube, too close to the valve to rig it. I'm trying to find a compatible substitute because nobody makes it and the local car cannibal lot has nothing.

Yes, you're in a tough spot.Dodge can't provide a part number due to being discontinued. Dorman doesn't make one either. Junk yards are you best bet be it looks like you didn't have luck.You might want to try some type of heavy duty epoxy or PCV type glue. You might want to use skinny needle nose pliers to remove the broken piece gently out of the hose and glue it back together until you find a replacement. Got the piece out but the stump on the valve housing is so short i've been defeated.

I don't know how long ago was posted, but my brother found a forum stating that part number 911-001 is all I needed. Of course the parts site says it won't fit. But that's why I thought JCD should have at least a few shared parts, but I can't find a definitive answer yet.

Any more advice would be appreciated beyond my vocabulary to express.

Do you have any LKQ wrecking yards in your state? So far that's all I can find. Or look for someone in your area on Craigslist who is parting out a similar Dakota.

I'm in Corpus Christi Texas.

I have seen people drill out the plastic and install a small pipe thread fitting to attach the rubber hose to. Does that part come with a new fuel pump module? Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

I'm not sure which part is the module. I ended up reaming the plastic and inserting a 1/8" roll pin, fiber glassed the top together and put the hose back on. I was lucky to save the nipple part that broke off in the first place. It is not pretty but it worked.

I replaced the heads and when I tried to start the engine. No fire and no fuel pressure. Took to a repair place. No luck. Replaced the computer. No relief. The alternator was drawing the battery down. Disconnected the alternator and the fuel pressure came on. There appears to be feedback throught the relays in the engine compartment. Have checked and double checked the connections, but have not checked the alternator. It appears that this is above my talent level and my mechanics. There must be a short or hot to ground problem but have been unable to trace the correct locationl. Help Thanks JIM

Full wiring diagram for your truck. The computer controls th ealt in your truck, have the alt bench tested to see if it is throwing ac current, this will mess with the comp

Find the automatic shutdown relay ASD relay and test it -if this relay is shorting out it will affect the coil/injectors and fuel pump circuits.

Please Help This past January my dakota stalled after just pulling out of the driveway. After doing all the normal inspections found that it wasnt getting fuel pressure. So i had the fuel pump changed out, and it ran again yay yeah for 1 month. So after inspecting again figured the fuel pump went bad again since there was no fuel pressure. It was under warranty so I went and got another one the same one and brand which probably wasnt smart. It wont start now but it does turnover and will run momentarally if i prime the throtlle. Is there maybe an electrical problem. I cant get fuel to the throttle PLEASE HELP Fuel to the throttle=me at the lake

Verify that you're getting the correct fuel pressure if so check for injection pulses

Thank you very much for replying. I am not getting any fuel or pressure to the throttle body also am not hearing the fuel pump come on. After reading through the forum seen this problem answered by checking the ASD relay which I will do today. My marking lights in the rear also do not come on when i turn the headlights on i dont think this is related but thought id throw it out there. Any other sugestions thanks again.

Check fuse C 40amp and fuse D 30 amp in the power distribution center-if okay test the fuel pump relay its relay no.5 in the PDC. and also relay no.3 for the ASD relay.

Thanks alot for all your help. I changed out the fuel pump relay and the ASD relay and it started. First I switched just the fuel pump relay but it didnt start. But then switching the ASD relay did the trick. You are the man. The walleye wont know what hit em.

Ran when I parked it. Then it sat for two months now the thing will not start its got good spark but fuel pump and injectors not working. Fuel pump does not sound off when I turn it over. I did hot wire the fuel pump just to make sure it worked and it did but after cranking the engine over and over my spark plugs still bone dry any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I came up with:

Check Fuse D (30A) and Fuse C (40 A) in the power distribution center (PDC)

Also check these two relays in the "Prodemand" diagram I'm posting below.
