ac repair

2000 dodge dakota V6 3.9l 2 wheel drive, the ac has a leak in the line or in the evaporator coil in the dash. how do i get to it to repair it. i am licensed to use and recover freon.

Pump the system down and fill it with leak finder, a dye that will mark any leaks in the system.

Start the vehicle and turn on the a/c. Check over to see if the leak is in the engine compartment, if it's not, then you will need to take apart the passenger side of the dash to get at the evaporator and it's lines. There will be a LOT of screws :/
