About 2 mo's ago, my passenger side seat belt light and the associated dinger are both on constantly now (they will stop at times, but then start up again as soon as I leave a light/stop sign), no matter whether anyone is in the passenger seat, or the seat belt is fastened. Also, my cruise failed 4 months prior to that.

Have you checked the wiring to the seatbelt to make sure nothing is disconnected or damaged?

Hey guys...yeah, actually took it in to a repair place near me, and he said it was NOT the BCM, that it was the female portion of the driver seat belt that he believed had a bad sensor. We replaced that portion of the seat belt assembly...problem fixed!!! And BTW, the cruise control vacuum wire was hanging loose, so he reconnected it, and that now works perfectly!!!

I'm glad it's fixed. I had a feeling it had to do with that area. Let us know if you have questions in the future.

Can anyone help me with finding a 2005 driver side seatbelt? Mine won’t stop dinging. Also, need the center console lid replaced.

Hello, I'm Danny.

There is a truck parts place in Kansas called LMC truck. They sell truck parts for Dakota trucks so you can look up their website online for parts. I've attached pictures below. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
