Hi:
That code is an EVAP code. What that means is you have an air leak in the evaporator system. That could be as simple as a new fuel cap. However, is could be anything dealing with the system. For example, it could be the filler tube to the fuel tank, the charcoal canister, a bad rubber hose between everything. I would suggest that you just start looking for a broken, disconnected, or damaged hose within the system. Believe me when I say they aren't easy to find. Some shops actually can fill the system with smoke to try to find the leak.

If you have further questions, let me know.

I used a repair forum when P0456 appeared. Started with tightening the fuel cap, then reset the system (disconnect battery terminal). Got lucky that day.

We discovered that the routing sticker is showing the purge solenoid upside down so the flow problem was resoled by reversing the hoses to the solenoid. The purge solenoid is marked top and arrow showing up arrow on its side but looking at routing sticker the service port line was going to the top port on the solenoid. Routing sticker is wrong. Thx Chrysler. Service port line goes to the bottom of solenoid so flipping the 2 lines fixed our flow problem. Can't believe flow chart under the hood on 2003 dakota with a 4.7 v8
