2001 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I would like to know what the RPM range is when the 3.9 v6 dakota shift thru it's 5-speed at each gear?

Hi:
I'm not sure what you are asking. I believe red line is 5K RPM's. normal shift is around 2500 to 3000 RPM's based on your needs.

I was asking to see if there is rpm range that the computer would know when to shift to each gear . Does the computer notifey when to shift to the next higher gear, and what rpm range for example the 4th gear, would be.

Ok, now I understand. Yes the computer determines when shift's occur. The exact RPM is determined by a speed sensor, vacuum, and engine RPM. I don't have anything that would give the exact RPM.
