2000 Dodge Dakota Diagnose squeaking and vibration problem

My 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7L V8 4x4 has a squeak under the vehicle when I start and at low speeds. At faster speeds (30-55mph) it has a worsening vibration.

Is this a failing u-joint? If so, how do I know if its front or rear U-joint?

Could it be a transmission problem? Hopefully not.

I doubt it's the transmission. If you bounce the front of the truck, does it squeak? Also, have you had tire balance checked. As far as front or rear, the best I can tell you is to try to listen. Check for play in the u-joints.
