Symptoms:
A/C works fine for about 20 – 25 minutes. Then the cold air quits (I assume the compressor Disengages) for anywhere from 15 – 30 minutes. It may then turn on again for 5 – 10 minutes and continues that cycle indefinitely. The A/C only quits when the outside ambient temperature is at or above approximately 85⁰ F.

Known attempts at repair:
I have changed the high pressure cut-off switch, the low pressure cut-off switch and the relay switch (in what looks like a fuse box under the hood) twice. I have also recently had the A/C systems recharged. I am running out of mechanics that can’t solve the problem and am not anxious to pay a fortune to the auto manufacturer repair center… any advice?

Are you sure the clutch isn't bad?

I don't think the clutch is bad. As I mentioned the AC works fine as long as the ambient temperature is 85 degrees F or below. Then again I don't know how to check the clutch on the compressor. Thanks for the tip.

When the AC is turned on and not working, is the clutch engaging the system? If not, check to see if it is getting power.

Let me know what you find.
