1999 Dodge Dakota Vibration

If you only feel it in the steering, then it is related to the front end. Do you only feel it when it shifts?

My steering wheel vibrates when my truck goes into a new gear at about 25 mph. The vibration continues until about 33 mph when everything goes back to normal. Yes, the problem only appears when when the truck shifts into that particular gear. This happens every time it is in that gear and the vibration in the steering wheel is worse if I am applying light pressure on the gas peddle. As the speed increases, the vibration subsides and finally goes away.

Check for a broken motor mount.

Thank you. I will do that. I do not drive the truck hard. What would cause the mount to break?

They can just get old and the rubber bushings go bad. Check that and let me know what you find.
