Recently replaced Head Gaskets, exhasut manifold gaskets, intake gaskets because of broken bolts in manifold. Ran truck for about 3 to 4 weeks then the fuel pump died because i didn't seal the intake manifold correctly. pulled the bed replaced fuel pump. Attempted to start engine stumbles and dies after a few moments. At first thought it was air in the fuel lines, tried again a day later, same thing got to run a little longer but still very poorly, MIL read p0122 for TPS, replaced tps. Still haveing same problem. Connected Snap-On Scan Tool attempted to read Codes & Data but couldn't get it to communicate with module, but could run other system tests such as INJ. Check, and solenoid checks. got another code under secondary codes for tps again, thinkin of possible wiring problems, hopping not ECM problems.

Same scanner you originally pulled the codes with? Have you tried going in generic just to see if it will communicate that way? Try just unplugging theTPS and see if it will run at idle. You have a 3 wire sensor, 1 is ground, 1 is 5v in and th eother is voltage out to the ECM, use ameter to check all of this. Also wiggle wiring nad connectors while plugged in and look for variances in resistance to ground and voltages, could be damaged wiring or connectors from being pulled on during work. PCM is a possible cause of this code, but check for a shorted TPS circuit first

Used a generic scanner and got it to read a TPS low voltage code, the Snap-On Scanner i brought home from work was to help further my diag but when i couldn't get it to read Codes & Data is when i Started worring about other problems. Yesa u have tried running the truck without the tps but it still wont run correctly.don't have a meter hand to check my sensors but will try to get one.

MOdis uses ID keys too.......... Try using a meter to test it first. Can you get your hands on another scanner, just for laughs to see if it is the scanner not communicating
