1995 Dodge Dakota oil pump location and repair

1995 Dodge Dakota V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Has low oil pressure. With no visible external oil leaks. I need to know the location of the oil pump: external or internal(requiring removal of the oil pan)? Can someone help me?

It is located in the oil pan(sump). Remove pan and strainer and tube. A couple bolts hold it in. The tube must be cleaned or replaced as it clogs and will lower pressure also. The camshaft drives both the oil pump and distributor on many.
Removing the pan is the hardest part of the job.
