Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up ?

Test the idle air control motor/throttle position sensor, also the PCV and EGR valves

I was thinking that it could possibly be the emission sensor considering the catalytic converter went bad but i am just a woman not a mechanic

The gentlman that replaced my c converter said I may need new spark plugs because the converter was so bad. Put spark plugs in it myself about 2 weeks before replacing the catalytic converter
