I have an V8 360 out of a 1987 Ramcharger, a 1992 magnum head, a edelbrock rpm air gap intake manifold, and a 600cfm holley carb w/ electric choke...
...ok on with the question
I am having excessive fuel pressure on my truck, which is causing the carburetor to flood when I push on the brakes... I have checked the fuel pressure regulator and it is fine... I have the mallory 4309 with the adjustment screw all the way out pressure is supposed to be 3 psi... It is about 8 psi... so to correct the problem I attached a 1/2" Fuel line to the return line on the regulator and then clamped it onto the metal fuel line under the truck.
My question is when I did that I noticed that the old fuel line was connected to a small metal gas line...This model truck used to be Fuel Injected...Should the Return line be metal because after I did that the fuel pressure did not really change from what it was before...already verified w two gages... If you can think of any other ways to lower fuel pressure, please reply
Thanks for your time
